Our Summer Camp Philosophy

A summer at Windsor Mountain is more than just a ton of fun. It is a unique opportunity to nurture the creative spirit and explore how to live as a responsible citizen of the world while sharing a summer camp experience with students representing diversity of race, religion, color, and rung of the economic ladder.
For almost fifty years we have been designing practical and effective programs that open students eyes to new cultures, people, ideas and realities.  Our diverse community brings cultures together and enhances our global perspective.  Since our beginning in 1961, 50 states and over 60 countries have been represented.  Each session Windsor Mountain International hosts 160 campers and 50 professional staff at our New Hampshire campus. We are committed to experiential learning and to the personal growth and development of each individual, and we are focused on teaching—and practicing—respect, leadership, and appropriate risk-taking.

Rigorously trained, mentored, and motivated counselors from every corner of the globe guide students and campers to select their own schedule of classes through a process of “directed free choice.” Within the safe and supportive Windsor Mountain community students challenge themselves physically, emotionally, and intellectually while living in a traditional and rustic New England summer camp, which includes a range of activities including sports, theatre, arts, ropes course, music, swimming, boating, wilderness adventure, environmental education, and community service.

Creative, curious, energetic, caring, thoughtful, motivated and team oriented campers and staff join us at Windsor Mountain.  We invite YOU to join our fun and our Windsor Mountain family!
