"At Windsor Mountain you really get to know your friends and counselors. During the summer they become your second family."

Windsor Mountain International Summer Camp is dedicated to including students from all over the world in our summer community. In our 2007 season our students and staff represented more than 20 countries, including Canada, China, Chech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Honduras, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Latvia, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Spain, Togo, Turkey, Uganda and United Kingdom.

As many of Windsor Mountain's international families know, camp play is an automatic language immersion program. But we also make a avilable a formal curriculum for our english language learners. Some of our international students benefit from participating in English language development classes. These classes are taught with a focus on fun, of course! ESL (English as a Second Language) class always incorporates an activity in the learning: vocabulary and phrases associated with rock climbing, games in the water, cooking in the kitchen, or taking a sailboat out onto the lake are the foundation of our language learning classes.

Our international students practice their English language skills all day long as they share activities, meals and bunk time with their English speaking friends. The ESL class gives students a chance to ask important grammar, vocabulary and syntax questions, as well as allow our ESL instructor time to check in with each international student to be sure they are feeling good and that they are making the best linguistic progress possible.
