"I always signed up for an art class every chance I could because the choices were unbelievable! Where else can you make a bracelet, work on a piece of pottery, or help paint a camp mural with such amazing counselors?"
Joanna Goldsmith
Former camper

Visual Arts: An Eye Full

Paint flies at Windsor Mountain. Clay spins and fires. Sculptures rise. Welcome to Windsor Mountain's Art lab, a collection of facilities where students let their imaginations run wild in almost every medium humans have ever dabbled in. Campers can work in stained glass, make jewelry, print their own photos from negatives in a darkroom, produce a video, throw pottery on a wheel and fire their pieces in the big ceramics kiln.

There are woodworking projects waiting to be crafted, iron sculptures and scale models to build, copper to be enameled, and baskets and fabrics to be woven. Camp is awash with color, from tie–dyed tee-shirts to huge felt banners, from polychrome weavings, to face and mask painting, from batik to traditional painting on paper or canvas.

The Written Word: Express Yourself

The written word does not get shortchanged. Campers and counselors document their summer experiences by writing poetry, short stories, keeping personal journals, and contributing to the camp newspaper: Bubble Rap.
