Windsor Mountain International Summer Camp is a caring, creative community nestled in the heart of a 1000 acre wilderness preserve, on the edge of a pristine lake. As the first international summer camp affiliated with the United Nations, we take special care to design programs that open students' eyes to new cultures, people, ideas and situations. During our 44 year history, our students and staff have represented all 50 states and over 60 countries. At Windsor Mountain International Summer Camp, our programs and activities help campers explore aspects of being a responsible citizen of the world.

Underlying the fun and adventure of a Windsor Mountain summer is a strong commitment to experiential learning and to the personal growth and development of each individual student. We focus on teaching respect, responsibility, leadership and appropriate risk taking, while learning through discovery.

Through a process called "Directed Free Choice," our students select their own schedule of classes with the guidance and support of their counselors. We ensure that students meet their goals by taking risks and trying new things. Our community allows students to safely challenge themselves physically, emotionally, and intellectually while participating in a wide range of activities, including sports, theatre, visual arts, ropes course, music, swimming, boating, hiking, and community service.

By learning and feeling supported to take risks and be responsible, students learn and are expected to respect all aspects of camp, including themselves, each other, and the environment.

And, of course, a summer at Windsor Mountain International is tons of fun!

The majority of our campers join us for four weeks. This allows us the time necessary to get to know each family and campers individually - and gives the students enought time at camp to have a well rounded camping experience while building confidence in their independence and making lasting friendships.

We also offer two-week Intro Sessions for younger students in grades 2-4. These sessions provide an opportunity for first-timers to try out camp for a shorter time. Many of our two-weekers decide to stay for the whole session, or return to a four-week session the following year.
