Sarah Herman, Director
Sarah is a lifetime alumni of Windsor Mountain beginning as a camper, then as an LIT, Windsor Mountain Student Travel participant and leader, and ISC staff member. She received a degree in Spanish from the University of New Hampshire, spent semesters studying at Universities in Puerto Rico and in Chile, and then traveled extensively in Cuba, Bolivia and Peru. After completing her Masters degree in Elementary Education at Bank Street College, while teaching Bi-lingual Elementary and Spanish in New York City public schools, Sarah is back at Windsor Mountain full time. (International Summer Camp '91-'97 Cuba Exchange '02-'03, Travel Program Manager '04, '05, Organizational Director '06, '07.)
Angus Whyte: Student Travel Program Coordinator
The Windsor Mountain team is thrilled to welcome Angus Whyte to the full time staff. He will join Dianna to launch the Student Travel programs for this summer. Angus has worked with Windsor Mountain since 1997; he led too many Windsor Mountain Traveling Theatre programs to count, joined us for the epic Lord Of the Rings Theatre Festival in 2003 and has worn many other hats around the campus including resident yoga instructor, one on one shadow, and our Master of Ceremonies, "Experiential Ed". Angus is a graduate of the Dell'Arte School of Physical Theatre in Blue Lake CA. He has worked extensively in Theatre and Theatre Education in his hometown of Atlanta, GA, and at various places around the USA. In addition to being active in the theatrical world, Angus is an avid cyclist, hip-hop advocate and spaghetti eater. Having recently finished a three-year stint working for the Frantz Lab at the Center for Behavioral Neuroscience at Georgia State University, Angus is happy to be leaving immunocytochemistry, autoradiography, and the study of receptor proteins back at the lab for a while. Angus just arrived in Windsor NH with his wife Marjorie and delightful one-year old daughter, Vidalia.
Marjorie Whyte: Travel Program Administrator
This is Marjorie’s first year with Windsor Mountain Student Travel, and she is not only the assistant to the director, Angus Whyte, but she is also his wife. Together they are the proud and enthusiastic parents of the 21 month old force of nature, Ms. Lena “Vidalia” Whyte. Together they coordinate the travel programs from Atlanta, GA. But before all of Marjorie’s dreams came true, she grew up in rural, central Alabama where she spent most of her summers exploring nature trails, gardening, learning various water sports, and outdoor motocross racing with her grandparents and extended family. (Her parents were working!) This is where she discovered that chicken does not come in a plastic package at the supermarket, some sticks on the ground move and should not be touched, and how to do a “proper” tick check! She later attended Auburn University, studying Liberal Arts and Communications, and upon the request of her roommates relocated to Atlanta, GA in 1993. She spent most of her twenties exploring Morocco, Europe, and scuba diving any hot spot in the Caribbean she could find. She has even dove Jacques Cousteau’s Blue Hole off the coast of Belize. She then slowed down a little bit, and noticing she was without a family to care for, decided to become a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse. She then spent 7 years caring not only for mother and child, but also the entire family with all aspects of prenatal, antenatal, and postnatal care. Then she met Angus, they have their family, and she is living her “Hybrid Mom” dream come true.

Brendon Gawel
Brendon Gawel used to get in trouble in school for not sitting still. He still has a problem with that. Luckily he's found creative avenues for this habit. Since graduating from The University of the Arts with a degree in Acting, Brendon has been an actor in over 30 productions in Philadelphia. He's also toured the United States three times, helped run a show in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, Visited his distant relatives in Ireland, and toured California, Oregon, Italy, Spain, France, and New England with 4 previous Windsor Mountain Student Travel programs! In the past year alone, Brendon has eaten fire at his best friend's wedding, learned to play the mandolin, danced with a bottle balanced on his head at bar mitzvahs, performed acrobatics in green spandex, and founded his own outdoor physical theatre company, Ombelico Mask Ensemble. A proud Eagle Scout, Brendon enjoys the unique challenge of traveling lightly and living with an eye towards one's impact on the earth. Andrew Rothman
Andrew Rothman here, proud San Francisco native, though my friends believe me to be a bit of a gypsy, having attending 4 different undergraduate institutions, traveled on 4 continents, and worked every job from mechanic to masseuse. I recently returned from Northern Uganda where I worked on a project aimed at reintegrating former child combatants into their former communities, and subsisted on a diet of sikuma and ugali. In the fall, I plan on beginning graduates studies in Sustainable Urban Development. I also consider myself to be a sports Buddha, with 2004 being the best example when I believe my karma was more or less the deciding factor in the title runs for the Red Sox, Patriots, Greece in EuroCup Football Tournament, and Maccabi-Tel Aviv in the EuroLeague Basketball championship; so if your team is down on its luck, I'm a good person to know (exception: Dodgers and Yankees).
BRIDGE CHINA
