Truly Random Kindness:  Take off and use your imagination.  Interspersed with your community service projects will be times when it is up to you and your group to go out into the community and surprise and delight locals with your positive attitude and giving spirit.  Who knows – bringing fresh blueberry pies to families that just moved to the area, delivering flowers to homebound elderly, or dropping in at the local library and asking, "what can we do?" – anything is possible.  Generosity and simple living can make a huge difference in achieving the goal of creating a chain of kindness to make our world more peaceful.

Life on the Road: Travel by van and sleep in tents, cabins and community housing as you move from community to community throughout Vermont, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.  When spending nights out under the stars, you will learn minimum–impact camping and cooking skills.  Bring along your favorite recipes and prepare them for group meals as a way to share your taste in food.  Discover the mystical powers of a Magical Mystery Tour, Windsor Mountain's unique way of exploring communities. Take a break from traveling and volunteering to enjoy canoeing and swimming in a cool lake.  Create your own adventures as you and the group decide what fun the day should hold.  Plan a hike in the White Mountains, see theater on the Common in Boston, or just enjoy some "down time" on the beach.

What Folks Say About VOLUNTEER New England:

"We had lived in our last home for 35 years so this move to a new neighborhood was very traumatic for us. Your kindness helped soothe the way."

"I had the most intense experience working in a soup kitchen feeding the hungry. The women looked just like me, yet they had no home. I will never forget this day or the look of happiness on their faces when I served them a nice warm meal."

"I am so happy I learned how to set up a tent and now have tons of recipes to bring home. I feel I grew tremendously as an individual and became more independent and responsible".

"The program taught Eboni how to give of herself without looking for something in return."

"Your Random Acts of Kindness made my day. The flowers added such a nice touch to the store and the pie was delicious."

"Windsor Mountain respects the individuality of each child and has sound, nonmaterialistic values. Creative and fun".
