Financial Aid Opportunities for the 2008 Season

OUR FINANCIAL AID PROCESS:
To ensure access to a broad range of well qualified and enthusiastic students, Windsor Mountain encourages students who require financial assistance to apply for support to participate in our international summer camp and student travel programs. Typically 20% of our student body receives some amount of financial aid. Our Financial Aid committee carefully considers several factors: family income; ethnic, racial and cultural diversity; teacher references; and commitment to the program as reflected in the application and through past Windsor Mountain experiences. It is a good idea to check for local opportunities in your community such as Rotary, Elks, Moose and Lions Clubs for assistance in raising total funds needed to participate. Windsor Mountain staff are happy to assist you with information.

Financial aid is awarded in four rounds; selection dates fall on December 15, January 15, February 15 and March 15. Applicants will be notified by the 30th of each month. Please be sure your applications are complete and in our files to be considered for one of these 4 selection dates. If you have previously received financial aid, please do not assume that the same award can be offered again.

PLEASE NOTE: Applications received after March 15th will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and are subject to space availability.

To be considered for financial aid students must submit:
~ A Program Application
~ A Financial Aid Application
~ A Teacher Reference Form (new students only)
~ All applicable and most recent 1040 tax forms (or the equivalent for international students)
~1040 tax forms from additional guardians outside the primary household (or the equivalent for international students)
~ A refundable $250 processing fee (will be applied to your tuition)

PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to reserve a space on a Windsor Mountain program regardless of the outcome of your financial aid request, your application must include a $850 deposit. This deposit is subject to the deposit refund policy as outlined on the application form.
