Nestled in a pristine 1,000-acre lakeside forest preserve, Windsor Mountain Camp is conveniently located in southwestern New Hampshire, two hours from Boston, and under five hours from New York City. Windsor Mountain is served by airports in Manchester and Boston and by private and chartered buses. In short, it is easy to reach Windsor Mountain. Local lodging Directions to Windsor Mountain:
From the New York City Area - Interstate 91 North to Brattleboro, Vermont is your best bet. Get off at Exit 3 (Route 9 East, Keene, NH) in Vermont. Continue to follow Route 9 over the river and into NH. As you approach Keene beware that Route 9 makes a left turn at the second traffic light at on the way into town (it is a 3 way stop light). Continue on Route 9 towards Hillsboro and Concord for approximately 25 miles. At the 1830 House Motel on the right hand side of the road and an Antiques Barn on the left, turn LEFT onto Route 31 North (do NOT make a right onto Route 31 South). The corner store and an antique gallery are on the corners at that intersection. Follow Route 31 north for 1 and 1/2 miles and make a left onto Windsor Rd. (just past William's Store where there is a Windsor Mountain Sign). Continue along Windsor Rd. for 3 miles and turn left at the at the top of the hill at the "T" (there is a Windsor Mountain sign). Continue for 1/2 mile, and you will find Windsor Mountain on your right. Please note that we have had many complaints about families driving too fast on our highly populated rural road. There are lots of local children living on our road, so please go slowly. From the Hanover Area: take 89 south to Grantham; take 10 south through Grantham, Newport, and Goshen. On the south side of Goshen, take a left on 31 south toward Washington. Go through Washington and continue on 31S. About 7.5 miles after the center of Washington, you'll come to Williams' Store, a little gas station on the right. Turn around at Williams' Store and go back about 20 yards. Turn left up the hill onto Windsor Road (sign posted for Windsor Mountain International) and travel approximately 3 miles to a second Windsor Mountain sign at the top of a hill. Bear left and go 1/2 mile. Our entrance is on the right, marked with a large Windsor Mountain sign with our logo in the center. PLEASE NOTE: the speed limit on Windsor Road is 25 MPH and is enforced! |
