PROGRAM CONTRACT · This is a legal document. Please read and understand before signing
Your child's participation in a WINDSOR MOUNTAIN INTERNATIONAL (WMI) program is contingent upon
receipt of all mandatory forms, which include signed Program Contract, signed Family Information/Health
Form, Teacher Reference (new students only), Travel Form and Parent and Student Questionnaires. These
forms will be mailed in January, or upon receipt of your application for later enrollments. Certain
travel programs will also require Activity Release Forms and Personal ID forms, which will be mailed
to you in May. You may reserve a space in any WMI program by filling out this application and sending
it to our address with your $850 deposit. WMI applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout
the year and are subject to space availability. In our screening process, we seek to ensure that
students are capable of meeting the physical and emotional demands of an intensive, small group program
. WMI reserves the right to refuse and/or rescind acceptance to a student at any point if we believe
he/she is unsuitable for our programs for any reason including: health, physical ability, or
behavioral history.
Conditions for participation
An emphasis on rules runs contrary to the spirit of WMI. Our approach is to offer learning, adventure
and a group experience within the boundaries of safety, common sense and the law. Living within a
small group is challenging, and students will be expected to actively participate and possibly
compromise some of their own needs for the common goals of the group. While participating in program
activities, students must follow the stated instructional sequence and safety standards including but
not limited to the wearing of helmets, lifejackets and seatbelts. Unsafe actions taken by any
participant are grounds for dismissal. Possession or use of tobacco products, weapons, alcohol or
unprescribed drugs, as well as sexual activity, exclusive relationships, and unauthorized absence from
the group are against our rules, and we are inflexible about them. WMI reserves the right to dismiss
participants who we believe have violated any of these conditions for participation in our
programs. Participants who are dismissed or who withdraw will be sent home at their own expense,
without tuition refund, even in the case of medical conditions. In the event of homesickness, our
staff is here to help children and parents complete their summer experience. If you and your child
make the decision to leave camp or a travel program for reasons of homesickness or any other cause,
your decision cannot be reversed. There will be no tuition refund as a result of early departure.
Tuition information
Tuition balances are due in full according to the Payment Information on the reverse side of this form,
or with your application if applying after April 1st. We will not continue to reserve the space of any
participant whose tuition payment is more than 30 days late. Tuitions cover all program activities.
Tuitions do not cover transportation to and from the starting or ending points of programs, personal
spending money, or expenses for professional medical care or personal needs. The camp store fee (for
summer campers) or contingency fee (for travel students) will be included on your bill. Unused camp
store or contingency funds will be returned by the end of September.
Deposit and tuition refunds
Your $850 deposit includes a $250 non-refundable processing fee. WMI is not obligated to refund any
tuition paid after February 1st. Trip cancellation insurance is available through some insurance
companies and may reimburse you for non-refundable tuition and/or travel costs.
Health forms
Each participant must submit a completed WMI Family Information and Health form which has been signed
by a physician within one year of the start of the program, based on a physical received within two
years prior to the program. Participation in a program is contingent upon our approval of the health
form. All students must be covered by medical insurance. In case of illness or injury, WMI shall have
the right to administer first aid and/or take the injured student to medical services. The cost of
these services, including expenses for both the student and accompanying staff person, are the
responsibility of the parent or guardian. WMI will help obtain standard medical insurance forms from
health care providers to aid in any insurance claims. Students who leave the program for medical
reasons are not eligible for a tuition refund.
Transportation
Transportation to and from the starting point of each program is the logistical and financial
responsibility of the parents/guardians. Detailed information will be sent after receipt of your
application. Regardless of transportation mode, travel arrangements and the travel information form
must be submitted to WMI.
Bus Arrangements
For a fee, WMI bus transportation is available from New York, Boston and Manchester for the
International Summer Camp and selected Travel programs.
Air Arrangements
All air transportation can be arranged through our travel agent. All students travelling abroad are
encouraged to fly with their group from the U.S. gateway airport.
Program Development
Program development continues throughout the year after the catalog description is complete. As new
opportunities arise or practical considerations require, the itinerary, destinations or other aspects
of a trip may change. Parents and students will be informed about substantive changes before the
summer begins. WMI reserves the right to cancel any program which does not enroll a minimum number of
students.
Risk Management
Safety management is our priority, and we have an exceptional record to prove it. The physical and
emotional well-being of our participants is the primary concern of our leaders. WMI uses care in the
selection of our leaders, transportation companies, outfitters, facilities and services, and takes
proactive steps to identify, analyze and manage risk to all participants and their personal property.
Our risk management protocol cannot remove all risk; parents and participants must understand the
nature of our programs and accept the inherent risks involved in such activities.
Equipment
WMI will provide equipment needed for group travel and living (e.g. tents, stoves, cooking utensils,
first aid equipment, vans, etc.); participants are expected to care for equipment. If a student
damages or loses any equipment belonging to WMI, the student and/or parent will be held responsible
(normal wear and tear excluded). WMI insurance does not cover the personal property and equipment of
participants; parents should check with their own insurance policy to ensure their child's personal
property and equipment are covered against loss, theft or damage.
FINANCIAL AID
Since its inception in 1961, WMI has been committed to providing an enriching educational summer
experience to the widest possible spectrum of students. Recipients of financial aid give as much as
they gain from their experience. They enrich the group of which they are a part and gain immeasurably
in terms of personal growth, skills and a new perspective on themselves, their own home and the world
beyond. In the 2005 season, WMI gave financial assistance to more than 100 students. Look for 2006

ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT
I have read and understand the program descriptive materials for which my son or daughter is applying,
and the above contract, and I agree to these terms and conditions. There are certain risks inherent in
a number of Windsor Mountain International (WMI) activities and programs; I understand the nature of
these programs and accept the risks involved. I, or my child, my heirs and assigns, agree to release,
waive, covenant not to sue, indemnify and hold harmless WMI and their agents of any and all liability
from negligence and responsibility of any nature for any loss or damage to property or personal
injury, including death or illness, incurred by my child while participating in a WMI program.
Jurisdiction for all legal action will be in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. I understand that any
individual upon bringing legal action against WMI which results in a decision in favor of WMI will be
responsible for all legal fees, court costs, and out of pocket expenses of WMI. I also understand that
WMI will dismiss without tuition refund and at parent(s) expense any student who disrupts the group or
who violates the Conditions for Participation. I give permission to WMI to use photography and video
of my child and to use his/her creative writing in promotional, documentary, and other educational
publications.
