Windsor Mountain has been leading travel programs around the world since 1967. Currently we are running programs in Asia, Eastern Europe, the Caribbean, Central and South America and across the United States. We are able to set up a program which will meet your teaching goals, and we look forward to tapping into our deep network of resources to design a program tailored for your school.
INTERCULTURAL EXCHANGE • forms the backbone of Windsor Mountain Student Travel. Sharing activities with peers from our host countries is a fundamental aspect of our programs.
COMMUNITY SERVICE LEARNING • invites a reciprocal exchange of learning through meaningful work that serves vital community needs.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT • offers opportunities to design and implement creative programs for local children in a variety of communities, while honing leadership and teaching skills.
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS • teaches students the joy of being outdoors, strengthens their relationship with the cycles of the natural world, and challenges both their group and personal limitations.
LANGUAGE LEARNING • focuses on building language skills and cross-cultural bridges of friendship. Students often stay with host families or share adventures with students from the host culture.
CREATIVE ARTS • allows students to express themselves through physical theater or film while designing, producing and performing an original piece that shares their ideas and ideals
With Windsor Mountain, your students join peers from selected host countries to provide summer programs for under-resourced local children, plant gardens in impoverished communities, teach English to migrant laborers, participate in humanitarian brigades, perform at community centers and town squares.
Our goal is for students to gain a global perspective on complex social, ecological, economic, and cultural issues facing local communities.
Students return home with evolved world views and a developed sense of self
and direction.
